So glad you have stopped by!

For the past 17 years, I have worked as a Child & Youth Worker. The biggest joy of my work was connecting with children, creating opportunities for them to showcase their strengths and engaging them in enriching activities that promoted healthy development and fostered new skills. I have recently stepped away the field to care for our school age daughter and toddler son.

The opening of the Clubhouse on KF's Before and After-school Program seemed like the perfect way to combine my passion and experience to offer a quality program to families in the Findlay Creek community.

The goal of the Clubhouse on KF is to provide a nurturing and inviting experience for your child before and after school. A space where they can prepare for the day ahead and can decompress after a long day, nourish their bellies, and get a head start on the day's homework.

SERVICES

In September 2017, the Clubhouse on Kelly Farm will open to provide a privately-run home-based Before & After-school Program for school age children attending Findlay Creek School.

There are 5 spaces available for school age children to attend the program from 7:30-9:15am* and 3:45-5:30pm*.

The rate for the Before-school and After-school Program is $23/day and includes a morning and afternoon snack.

This program is best suited for children from JK to Grade 3. If you are interested in registering an older child, let's chat and assess program suitability.

BEFORE SCHOOL PROGRAM

Providing a nurturing space for your children to prepare for the day ahead. Before-school Program begins at 7:30am*. Children will be provided with a healthy early morning snack and engage in quiet activities followed by a walk to the school yard for 9:00am.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Providing an inviting space for your children to return after school. Your child(ren) will be picked up at the school at 3:45 and return to the Clubhouse on Kelly Farm for a healthy snack. Children will help plan the week ahead's snack menu on Fridays.

Upon arriving at the Clubhouse, we will dedicate 30 minutes to a daily check in activity where we will chat about the days highlights and get a head start on any homework assigned.

We will then will head outside (weather permitting) or engage in a small craft or activity until pick up at 5:30pm*.

PD DAYS &SNOW DAYS

On PD Days, a full lunch will be provided along with healthy snacks throughout the day. Children will help in planning the days activities in the days leading up to the PD Day. Drop off and pick up times* remain the same on PD Days.

The rate for PD Days and Snow Days is $45/day and includes snacks and lunch.

PD Days are incorporated into the fee payment schedule according to the OCDSB School Calendar.

MARCH BREAK & WINTER BREAK

The program will not run during March or Winter Break. If you need help finding programming available in the community, I am happy to help!

This program follows the OCDSB School Year Calendar and currently does not operate in the summer.

SCHOOL LUNCH MAKING SERVICE

The evening, bedtime and morning routine can be busy enough! If you would like to add a School Lunch Making Service to your registration, I will prepare your child's lunch for the school week, and you can check that off your "to do list"!

An example of a packed lunch includes:

Sandwich or wrap

Fruit

Vegetables

Yogurt container or yogurt drink

Granola bar

Crackers and cheese

Lunches will be prepared and ready for your child on Monday morning through Friday morning. Whenever possible, children will be invited to join in on the lunch making process to teach them about healthy food choices and the foster the development of life skills.

Service cost: $45/week per child.
